Some good OER tool and TECHNIQUES

I have been searching for some interesting tools or techniques to help me remix some resources. After a bit of searching, I found several interesting tools. Here, I want to create this blog post to share these tools with you. To do that, I will briefly introduce each tool and I will also attach some instructional videos that I use in my self-study. I hope these tools are useful for you, and you can learn some interesting skills from them.

Let's start our tool-sharing journey!!! (You can click on the name of the tool in the description below to go to the corresponding tool page.)

The first tool I'm going to introduce is called the OER Commons Open Author. You just need to do three simple steps (write, describe, and submit). Then, Open Author can help you build open educational resources, lesson plans, and courses for public sharing on the OER Commons platform.

Here is the instructional video that I use to learn this tool:

The second tool I'm going to introduce is called LibreOffice Draw. I think that The easiest way to create an educational resource is to use a familiar word processing tool like the Microsoft office tools. However, you need to buy these tools first for using them, which seems a little bit in conflict with OER's free requirement. LibreOffice Draw solves this problem, it is free. It can let you make anything from a quick sketch to a complex plan and also gives you the means to do a lot of about graphs and diagrams.

Now, comes my favorite part, which is about photo editing. The third tool I want to introduce is called the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) Do you sometimes want to edit pictures but have not bought any useful editing software such as Photoshop? Don't worry! GIMP can solve this problem because it is free! GIMP is a free and powerful image editor that available for GNU/Linux, OS X, Windows, and other operating systems.
you can try it when you want to edit images next time.

So that is all the tools I am going to cover this week. I hope this blog post I created has been helpful for you.
