Renewable Assignment Design Framework
This week I was fascinated by the concept of Renewable Assignments, so I went online to find some examples of renewable assignments. Look what I found! An article on renewable assignment design framework. This article is so interesting that I wanted to share it with you here.
The image above is the Renewable assignment design framework developed by the authors of this article. This framework provides a process for their work, while also providing methods and references for others considering developing open pedagogy practices. Each step within the framework is the author of their experience. Through each step, they work together to redesign the assignment as well as discuss recommendations and considerations for others implementing the framework within their community. These steps are not intended as a dogmatic practice, but rather a process of faculty reflection and intentional assignment development to position students as meaningful open content creators.
I highly recommend that you take a look at this article, especially the examples provided in appendix A! It is fun!
